I have a confession……I’m addicted to luggage and cute totebags.  I’ve purchased three new FUN and EXCITING luggage sets within the last year and I love them all…The first was a 3 piece set from Target on clearance. It's bright, colorful, and convenient enough to use as a carry on.  My last two sets have been from Victoria’s Secret Pink Collection and I had to have them.  I’ve bought both during separate semi annual sales. They were regularly priced 150 and I bought the sets for 36 bucks. Yep, I caught a deal! 



Luggage is definitely EXPENSIVE..But it's something that you'll always need. I was able to catch all of my recently purchased sets on sale. So if you're eyeing a particular set that happens to be expensive. It will more than likely go on sale.... But definitely check out various dept stores to see nonblack options the next time you're in need of some luggage. I also RECOMMEND making sure it's good quality so it can last for a while.

Paint the town RED

Feeling adventurous?!?!  Why not show it with your lips?  Red lipstick can quickly change your look from simple to dramatic. My preference is MAC’s  Ruby Woo.   Ruby Woo is a sexy and vibrant color. It is my must-have, all-time favorite red lipstick.  Although, matte lipsticks can be a bit drying on the lips, I suggest using a lip balm to moisturize the lip before applying Ruby Woo. It is very pigmented like most MAC lipsticks and stays on throughout the day. It is a definite winner and great for a night out on the town!

Be extra.....with your winter accessories

 I would describe my style as a comfy casual. This winter I’ve stayed in my flat boots and jeans and rotating thru my various black coats. Sounds pretty boring ...bleak…regular…a little plain…Right??? I’m going to agree with you and say you are absolutely correct. It does seem rather boring. But that’s perfectly okay because everybody is not drawn to the latest styles and trends. It’s okay to be a plain jane. So if you’re like me and more on the plain side I double dare you to add some splashes of color for the remainder of the winter.  Have fun with your accessories.  Be extra. You’ll be surprised how subtle hints of color can add a little glam to your basic everyday look.

Here are some inexpensive ways for you to add a little color to your life:

Leather Gloves- Keep your hands warm and be fashionable at the same time. Next time you’re in need of some gloves don’t reach for a basic boring pair. Live a little and go for that colored leather pair. Leather gloves can be found at Target, TJ Maxx, Marshall’s , Ross and etc. at a reasonable price. I have several pair and as long as you keep up with them they last for years…

Scarves- Keep your neck warm and add a splash of color to your normal look. Scarves are available in every color possible and multiple prints.  Be sure to check out videos on youtube showcasing the different ways to wear a scarf

These are just a few of my ideas on how to add a splash of color to your Plain Jane wardrobe. Color is really not my thing so I tend to not go overboard. I’d rather just add a hint of it here and there… So to all of you Plain Jane’s out there accept my challenge and add some color to your everyday look.  Step out of your comfort zone.

Drug Store Diva

For the past several years, I've tried *many, many, many* expensive brands of mascara. A professional make-up artist suggested that I try Maybelline's Falsies in Blackest Black. I decided try it over the summer and I've been addicted ever since. No longer am I payin 25$ for a tube of mascara. For nearly 5 bucks, I think this mascara is a fierce competitor with Lancome's Definicils. (my previous favorite brand) Falsies gives you appearance of false lashes and INSTANT volume! This mascara is great for a dramatic lash look, it really coats and thickens lashes. My only con is that it is a little clumpy at times.  Overall, I think it is a  great buy and must-have in any makeup kit.

I am totally enjoying my new Sony Cyber-shot Digital Camera TX10.  This camera is one of sony's best..It's perfect and unique in its own way! My favorite feature of the camera is the soft skin smoothing effect.  Soft Skin mode recognizes skin tones and reduces the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles without affecting the rest of the shot.  In my opinon, the soft skin feature gives the appearance of naturally flawless skin!  I am absolutely ADDICTED to this feature.  The camera is also touch screen and slim enough to fit in your pockets. It has 16.2 megapixels and the quality of the photos are AMAZING!
